Floor
Engineered wood
Condition
Worn and scratched
Treatment
Dark Oak tinted Screen & Recoat
The objective
Improve the existing floor without full sanding
The floor could be retained and recoated. Deep cleaning and mechanical abrasion prepared the existing finish, avoiding the need to take the engineered surface back to bare timber.
Colour correction
Dark Oak reduced the visual impact of wear
The tinted recoat deepened the existing colour and helped integrate scratches and worn areas. The exact lacquer product used on this project was not supplied, so no manufacturer or system has been inferred.
Restoration process
How The Floor Was Restored
Assess
The floor and existing finish were checked for Sand-less suitability.
Deep Clean
Contamination was removed before abrasion.
Mechanically Abrade
The existing finish was prepared to accept a compatible recoat.
Tinted Recoat
Dark Oak colour correction and a renewed protective finish were applied.
The result
A darker, more consistent floor retained in place
The colour-corrected recoat reduced the visual impact of worn areas and renewed protection without the expense and intervention of full sanding.
